Yahoo Mail recently hosted a single-day hackathon that was open to all Yahoo employees. The focus of this hackathon was to learn and explore the AMP Framework as a means to improve Yahoo services. I joined forces with two designers, forming a team to participate in this exciting event. I delved into something new and worked on building a dynamic email prototype. Our idea for the hackathon was elegantly straightforward. We aimed to create a miniature version of Yahoo within a subscription email. This email would enable users to access the most recent news and interact with various features, such as sports betting, all within the email itself. It was an innovative and creative project that showcased the potential of the AMP Framework in enhancing the Yahoo Mail experience.
Users can start their day with a sip of coffee and follow their sports team, stocks and news. The content of the email will be updated dynamically. Users will see the latest information when they open the mail.
AMP allows dynamic interaction so users can place bets immediately from the mail.
Since the content of the email can be updated dynamically, Users can check the latest stock price and news from the mailbox.
